Before pixels and pentels, before oil paints and turpentine, there were sand drizzles — and the biggest sandbox in the neighborhood!

Chris Grosse, The Early Years: Wildwood, NJ

Here's to sunny days in the supersized sandbox where I learned to play. And, where I learned how to play well with others. Fast-forward a few decades, still having fun!

IDEATION + IMPLEMENTATION. Bringing together creativity, curiosity, and collaboration, I enjoy being at the intersection of design and how one experiences a product, a service, a brand. There’s simply nothing better than partnering with creative talent to shape innovative ideas, bring them to life, and leverage them to drive breakthrough business results. Influential design heroes include Rudy de Harak and Tom Corey. Immersive. Original! Brilliant.

NATIONAL + GLOBAL. I’ve worked with some of the most talented creative teams in the industry, championing brand-building for world-class products and services such as: NBC Television Network, Harvard Business School (HBS), national political campaigns, NBC Sports, and Monster.com.

+ REGIONAL Passionate about the design community, I served three terms on the Boston chapter of AIGA’s all-volunteer Board of Directors,. Collectively, we delivered 40+ live, high-engagement events a year. Board leadership was preceded by two years on the chapter's Small Business Professional Development team.

ORANGE + CRIMSON. Credentials include a a BFA in Communications Design from Syracuse University. Rounding out my design repertoire, I earned a graduate Certificate in Organizational Behavior from Harvard University's Extension School. Team-focused coursework included: Group Dynamics, Leadership Styles, Team Management, and Change in Organizations. This past year I joined a global cohort of storytellers, and received a Communicating for Impact Certificate from IDEO U..

MUST HAVE TOOLS. Brandon Boyle/IDEO perfectly sums up my sentiments, "Curiosity and creativity are like good friends. They're around each other a lot." Many times a designer’s best creative tool is the seemingly unrelated experience. Some of my faves? Bicycling the Oregon Coast, capturing the spontaneity of unplanned encounters in street photography, sea kayaking in Sitka, and enjoying a cup of coffee, on my deck, with a panoramic view of Boston Light.

OPEN TO RELOCATION. Currently, I live on the south shore of Boston. However, Denver, New York City, and the Jersey Shore, each with its unique culture, have all been called my home :)

"Chris is a terrific colleague and collaborator.
Every presentation she worked on was creative, compelling, and unique."

—Remo, Harvard University Lecturer / Actor
